Motorola Atrix 4G Android Phone Is A Dual-Core Android Phone, Supports Laptop-like Docking Accessories!

Just as we’re beginning to ideate that Motorola has delivered its best in the preceding year, the mobile division of the company, Motorola Mobility has announced a unique Android smart phone that blends exceptional features with powerful tech specifications.

Motorola Mobility just introduced the . It’s not just another 4G phone but the newest addition to the family of – a high-end that’s designed to connect to docking accessories to add more functionality, if and when required.

The a giant 4-inch display with capacitive multi-touch support. The display is touted to be qHD, which means it’s display resolution should be around 960×540 pixels. There’s a 5 megapixel HD-capable primary camera paired with a dual-LED flash while a front-facing VGA camera entertains video calling.

Under the hood is a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz speed and flanked by 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage space, (possibly) support for up to 32GB of expandable storage via a microSD card and a fingerprint recognizer.

Besides this, the device measures just 10.9 mm in thickness and encases a massive 1930mAh battery to keep the device up and running for long hours, reported battery talk time stats reads 9 hours.


The device has some sort of docking support which allows it to be used with other optionally-purchased accessories to further amplify the user experience of the device.

For instance, a laptop-like dock when connected to the Motorola Atrix Android phone will allow the users to access their phone through the display inscribed in the dock.

The Motorola Atrix dock is also said to have in-built speakers, a laptop-style keyboard, a pair of USB ports and some sort of embedded software preloaded which enables the user to use the “full version” of Mozilla Firefox browser when the device is docked while the Froyo-based web browser will be accessible through the Motorola Atrix 4G Android Phone.

The Motorola laptop dock has a battery life of about 8 hours and draws its processing power from the dual-core powerful processor of the Motorola Atrix 4G phone.

The Motorola Atrix 4G phone will be compatible with 4G HSPA+ on AT&T and will be available some time soon in the first quarter of 2011.Price and exact date of availability are yet to be announced.
